THE VIRTUAL RANGE
WHY TRAIN IN THE VR?
Watch the video below
The Virtual Range uses a combination of fully-recoiling firearm replicas, interactive training software, and electronic targets to create an in-person, 360-degree training experience.
Ammo prices suck
We don't use live ammo in the Virtual Range! All of our Glock pistols fire just like a real handgun, but emit an IR laser that interacts with the training software and the electronic targets rather than shooting a physical bullet.
Giving students that 360 environment allows them to train more appropriately for a real-life encounter.
At a traditional, live-fire range, even when you’re moving around the weapon has to stay pointed down-range in some form, and you’re really just shooting, moving, shooting, and moving, whereas in our virtual range, your firearms safety habits will truly be tested and trained because you will be around other people and will physically have to move from point A to point B while learning to not endanger anyone’s livelihood.
There is some serious liability when it comes to live-fire training because a simple training accident could result in someone’s life being lost. While we will require students to treat these handgun replicas as real firearms and abide by the firearms safety rules, it’s a good feeling for both the students, and the instructors, knowing that no live ammunition will be used during training at our Virtual Range.
Rest assured, this will be a safe learning environment.
Finding a range in California that will allow you to draw from a holster, move around with firearms next to other people, rapid fire, and all of the other practical stuff is tough. Facilities that allow this do exist but 9 times out of 10 they’re way out in the middle of nowhere or exclusive to members only and can become costly. At the end of the day, you're still on a flat range with no structures or other liabilities to work around.
No need to pack up the range bag with firearms, locks, eye pro, ear pro, ammunition, extra mags, cleaning kits, repair kits, chamber flags, you name it. If you have a Glock holster that you prefer, bring it. If not, we provide that equipment for you. All you need to do is show up and make sure you’re wearing a belt so we can throw a holster on you.
